Include Subfolders
This setting instructs Doppelganger whether it needs to scan the subfolders of your selected folder(s).
Check Folder Pemission Before Scan
This setting determines if Doppelganger should use it's own internal permission checking code prior to scanning your folder paths for duplicates. Turning this setting off can speed up the search in some cases. If you turn this off, Windows permission errors will still be caught and noted in the log.
DUPES Folder Location
This setting determines the folder where Doppelganger moves duplicate files to when your removal method is Move to DUPES Folder.
The default location is the DUPES folder in the Doppelganger local application data folder - "%LocalAppData%\Salty Brine\Doppelganger\DUPES\". This option allows you to change the default location to one of your choosing.
Use this Browse for Folders dialog to select the folder that will contain the DUPES folder. Using the example shown above, if "C:\" is selected, the actual DUPES folder path is going to be "C:\DUPES\"
Note that duplicates stored in the original location are not automatically moved to the new folder when a new location is selected. But you can easily move the contents from the old to the new location using Windows Explorer, if you require this.
